Obituary for Rawleigh Lynn Raymond

Rawleigh Lynn  Raymond
RAYMOND, RAWLEIGH LYNN, age 75, of Mt. Pleasant, lost his courageous battle with cancer on Tuesday, July 25, 2017 at his home surrounded by his family.

A Memorial Service for Rawleigh will be held at Clark Family Funeral Chapel on Monday, July 31, 2017 at 11 a.m. A Luncheon will be held immediately following in the Reflection Reception Center. The family will receive family and friends on Sunday, July 30, from 4 to 7 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to Heartland Hospice or American Cancer Society. Envelopes will be available at the funeral chapel.

Rawleigh was born April 19, 1942 in Lansing, Michigan to Cecil and Greta (Onstott) Raymond. He married the love of his life Jean "Darlene" Carson March 10, 1962. She preceded him in death on August 14, 2004. Rawleigh was a huge Looney Tunes fan, especially Bugs Bunny. He loved keeping an immaculate yard. Rawleigh loved entertaining family and friends at Raymond's Outback Bar annual pond party and enjoyed spending time with his social network of friends at the Casino.

Rawleigh is survived by his six children: Deb (Jeff) Grinzinger of Mt. Pleasant, Annette (Randy) Thornburg of Rockford, Tammy (Nelson) Jeffrey of Winn, Carol Farnan of Mt. Pleasant, Sandra (George) Agin of Shepherd, Rawleigh "Tiger" Raymond Jr. of Mt. Pleasant; 16 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; and two brothers Steve Crawley and Mike (Diana) Harvey both of Mt. Pleasant.

Rawleigh was preceded in death by his parents, wife, brother Terry Crawley, and sister Marline Raymond.
