Obituary for Renelda Helen Klumpp

KLUMPP, RENELDA HELEN, age 92, of Beal City, passed away Sunday, July 22, 2018 at McLaren Central Michigan.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, July 25, 2018 at 11 a.m. at St. Joseph The Worker Catholic Church, with Father Thomas Held officiating. Rite of Committal will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, with a luncheon to follow at the Knights of Columbus Hall. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the church and on Wednesday one hour prior to the funeral mass. A Rosary will be prayed on Tuesday evening at 7:30 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Joseph The Worker. Envelopes will be available at the church.

Renelda was born on February 1, 1926, in Mt. Pleasant, to John E. and Effie J. (Hauck) Schafer. She graduated from Beal City High School, and married Robert "Bob" Klumpp on June 18, 1949, in Beal City. He preceded her in death August 12, 2003. Renelda was a loving mother in every way. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, never missing an event. Renelda enjoyed baking, crocheting, planting flowers, camping, and square dancing. She and Bob liked to travel. She served on the Altar Society at St. Joe's.

Renelda is survived by her children Doug Klumpp of Beal City, Richard (Shar) Klumpp of Mt. Pleasant, Ted (Kathy) Klumpp of Cedar, Dottie (Greg) Bunting of Cedar, Sandy Klumpp of Beal City, Penny Gross of Mt. Pleasant, Greg (Rhonda) Klumpp of Laingsburg, and Karen (Kim) Rogers of Mt. Pleasant; 34 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; a great-great granddaughter; and a sister Shirley (Gene) Blackmer of Remus

Renelda was preceded in death by her parents; husband Robert Klumpp; two brothers; and five sisters.
