Obituary for Robert Joseph "Bob" Armbrustmacher

Robert Joseph "Bob"  Armbrustmacher
ARMBRUSTMACHER, ROBERT JOSEPH, age 88, of Coldwater Lake, Weidman passed away Saturday, July 7, 2018, at Woodland Hospice House in Mt. Pleasant.

A Memorial Mass for Bob will be held at St. Joseph the Worker on Friday, July 13, 2018, at 11 a.m. with Fr. Thomas Held officiating. A Luncheon will immediately follow at the Knights of Columbus Hall in Beal City. Interment will take place at the Most Holy Trinity Cemetery in Fowler at a later date. The family will receive friends at the church on Thursday, July 12, from 2 to 8 p.m. with a Rosary at 7:30 p.m. Visitation will continue the day of the service from 10 a.m. until the time of Mass. Per Bob's wishes, in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Joseph the Worker Catholic School. Envelopes will be available at Clark Family Funeral Chapel and the church.

Bob was born on September 25, 1929, in Denver, CO, the son of Roman and Helen (Brandt) Armbrustmacher. He proudly served his country in the United States Army from 1951 to 1953, serving in Austria during the Korean War, receiving the rank of Corporal. Bob married Alma Witgen on July 26, 1958, in Fowler, MI. Bob worked as an animal health technician for the United States Department of Agriculture for 42 years. He was a member of St. Joseph the Worker in Beal City and a member of the Moose, Eagles, VFW, and the American Legion in Clare. Bob enjoyed deer hunting and fishing.

Bob is survived by his brother, Raymond (Janet) Armbrustmacher; and brothers and sisters-in-law, Mark Myers, Louie Powell, Joan Epkey, and Gladys Rice; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Bob was preceded in death by his wife of 44 years, Alma; parents; sister, Linda Myers; and brothers and sisters-in-law, Marvin (Ruth) Witgen, Evelyn (Claude) Wieber, Marie Powell, Agatha (Bernard) Manke, Dick Schafer, Vern Pung, Louie Epkey, and Donald Rice.

The family would like to give a special thank you to Woodland Hospice House, Isabella County Medical Care Facility, Bob's Doctors and Nurses, lake neighbors, friends, and helpers, for your loving care and watchful eyes over Bob.
