GREEN, ROBERT RALPH, age 88, of Mt. Pleasant, MI, (formerly of New Era, MI) passed away Thursday, March 8, at Green Acres of Mt. Pleasant under the care of family, Great Lakes Caring Hospice, and the very caring staff of Green Acres.

Per Bob's wishes, cremation has taken place and a Memorial Service is being planned for this summer. Memorial contributions may be made to the Habitat for Humanity of Oceana County. Envelopes will be available at Clark Family Funeral Chapel.

Bob was born on December 26, 1929, in Fennimore, WI, the son of Ralph and Mildred (Smail) Green. Bob proudly served his country in the United States Army. He married Vera Meta Drew on February 23, 1952, in South Beloit, IL. Bob owned and operated R.R. Green Company for many years, selling and repairing tools across Michigan. He was a member of the Eagle's, Jaycees, and the Lebanon Lutheran Church in Whitehall. Bob enjoyed playing tennis, and both cross country and downhill skiing. He and Vera spent a lot of time together traveling to Arizona, Alabama, and Florida. Bob and Vera spent time working on Habitat for Humanity projects in states they traveled to. They enjoyed going on long distance bicycle trips, at times traveling over 2,000 miles in one trip. Bob was an accomplished cribbage player, hunter, and gentleman farmer, loving his 1952 tractor. Bob and Vera owned a Christmas Tree farm, providing Christmas trees for their church and relatives for many years.

Bob is survived by his wife of 66 years, Vera; children, Karen (Leonora Forist) Green of Mt. Pleasant, Steve (Elena) Green of Whitehall, and Barb (Joseph) Ullman of New Hampshire; grandchildren, Mary Ulmer, Alison Green, Joshua (Melissa) Green, Jade (Nate) McMackin, Jake Brooks, and Bacall Brooks; 2 great-grandchildren, Dominic and Wesley Green; brothers, Don Green of Kaukauna, WI, and Steven Green of Dorr, MI; sisters, Marion Graser and Sandy Knapp, both of Fennimore, WI; and special friend, Martha Vihtelic of Shelby, MI.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents and step-father, Cletus "Red" Rudersdorf.
