Roger Kelly Coon 48 of Clare, passed away at his home on Sunday, October 29, 2017. Roger was born May 7, 1969 in Pontiac, Michigan, the son of Henry Clifton Coon and Wilma Eileen (Cooper) Coon. Roger honorably served his country in the United States Navy. Mr. Coon had resided Clare for two years, moving from Lake, Michigan and formerly of Berkley, Michigan.
Mr. Coon enjoyed listening to music, watching movies, reading books, watching University of Michigan football games and taking walks around Clare, where he enjoyed nature and the serenity of a quiet walk.
Surviving Roger is his son, Jonathon Tamm, mother, Mrs. Wilma Eileen Coon, one sister, Dee Dee Coon and family, two brothers; Jerry and Melody Coon and family and Richard and Vicki Bohr and family, plus many cousins. Mr. Coon was preceded in death by his father, Mr. Henry Clifton Coon.
Visitation will take place on Wednesday, November 1, 2017 from 2:00-4:00 p.m. at Stocking Funeral Home, Harrison. Military honors and inurnment will take place at Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly, Michigan at a later date.
