Obituary for Roger Henry DeSonia

Roger Henry DeSonia
Roger Henry DeSonia, age 71, of Lake passed away Saturday, October 17, 2015, at Pine River Healthcare Center in St. Louis.

Funeral Services for Roger will be held at Clark Family Funeral Chapel on Thursday, October 22, at 3 p.m. with Rev. Dave Butler officiating. Interment will follow in Two Rivers Cemetery. The family will receive friends the day of the service from 10 a.m. until the time of service. Memorial contributions may be made to the family. Envelopes will be available at the funeral chapel.

Roger was born on July 27, 1944 in Bessemer, the son of Thomas and Clara Mae (Miller) DeSonia. Roger proudly served his country in the United States Army during Vietnam. He married Frances Riggle on October 10, 2009 in Mt. Pleasant. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time outdoors.

Roger is survived by his wife, Frances; children, Norma DeSonia of Florida, Arthur "Little Roger: DeSonia of Kentucky, Gloria (Roe) Kuiper of Mt. Pleasant, and Ricky (Becky) DeSonia of Bellvue; 6 grandchildren; brother, Bob (Gail) DeSonia of Breckenridge; and sister, Gloria Brothers of Florida.

Roger was preceded in death by his parents, daughter Sherry, grandson Tommy Painter, and a brother Tommy DeSonia.
