Ronald John  Huber
HUBER, RONALD JOHN, age 85, of Mt. Pleasant, passed away Tuesday, August 21, 2018 at Aleda E. Lutz VA Medical Center in Saginaw.

Funeral Services for Ron will be held Friday, August 24, 2018 at 11 a.m. at Zion Lutheran Church, 3401 E. River Rd., Mt. Pleasant. Rev. Jonathon Bakker and Rev. Benjamin Ulledalen will officiate. The family will receive friends on Friday beginning at 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service at the church. Interment will immediately follow the funeral service at Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Following interment, a luncheon will be held at Reflections Reception Center at Clark Family Funeral Chapel, 114 S. Bradley Street, Mt. Pleasant. Memorial contributions may be made to Zion Lutheran Church. Envelopes will be available at the church.

Ron was born August 31, 1932, in Mt. Pleasant, to Leonard and Helen (Block) Huber. He graduated from Mt. Pleasant High School with the class of 1951. Ron served in the U.S. Army as a dog handler. He was a dairy farmer most of his life. Ron married Kathleen Kavanaugh on January 6, 2007. He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church. Ron loved all sports, especially Detroit Tigers, Lions, and Redwings. He was also an avid fan of all Mt. Pleasant High School and Central Michigan University sports.

Ron is survived by his wife Kathleen Huber of Mt. Pleasant; children Rhonda Wonch of Alma, Lisa Helf of Grand Island, NY, Shannon (Dan) Finnerty of Clarence, NY, Ron Huber of Niagara, NY, and Wendy Huber of Buffalo, NY; 7 grandchildren Jason Wonch, Kevin Wonch, Brandan Wonch, Matthew Helf, Quentin Finnerty, Stacey Helf, and Taylor Finnerty; sisters Adella Bergey of Mt. Pleasant, and Ruth Giffin of Coldwater Lake.

Ron was preceded in death by his parents; first wife Bette Stacey Huber; brother Duane Huber; and son-in-law Randy Helf.
