Obituary for Rose Marie Shine

Rose Marie Shine
SHINE, ROSE MARIE, age 80, of Six Lakes passed away Sunday, April 24, 2016 at Kelsey Hospital Skilled Care Unit in Lakeview.

Funeral Services for Rose will be held at Clark Family Funeral Chapel on Wednesday, April 27, 2016 at 3 p.m. with Pastor Dale Murray officiating. Interment will follow in Vinewood Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 2-3 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the family. Envelopes will be available at the funeral chapel.

Rose was born on March 26, 1936 in Otsego County, MI, the daughter of Norval and Elizabeth (Deverney) Kleeman. She married Edward “Duane” Shine on September 19, 1953 in Saginaw, MI. He preceded her in death in 2004. Rose loved spending time with her family, gardening, cooking, and dancing. She was a member of the Little River Band of Ottawa Indians, and also enjoyed spending time outside.

Rose is survived by her son Steven (Adah) Shine of Evart, MI, 7 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, 2 brothers Kenneth (Dee) Kleeman of Bellaire, MI, Norval Kleeman of Mancelona, MI; 3 sisters Bettie Ann Van Patten of Janesville, WI, Bonnie Elaine Watrous of Bellaire, MI, and Linda Kay (George) Coon of Mancelona, MI.

Rose was preceded in death by her parents, husband, infant son Joseph, sons Marty Shine in 1997, John Shine in 2014, 5 brothers, and 2 sisters.
