Ruth Lucille  Foglesong (Howland)
FOGLESONG, RUTH LUCILLE, age 98, of Rosebush passed away Tuesday, February 7, 2017, at the Rosebush Manor under the care of Mid Michigan Hospice.

Funeral Services for Ruth will be held at Clark Family Funeral Chapel on Tuesday, February 14, at 11 a.m. with Pastor Chuck Moerdyk officiating. A Luncheon will follow in the Reflections Reception Center. A Private Committal Service will be held in Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Visitation will take place on Tuesday from 10 a.m. until the time of service. Memorial contributions may be made to Rosebush Manor Assisted Living or Rosebush Presbyterian Church. Envelopes will be available at the funeral chapel. The family would like to express their gratitude to Jessica Gross and the outstanding staff for their loving care of our mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.

Ruth was born on July 24, 1918, in Gratiot County, the daughter of Seth and Pearl (Kuhlman) Howland. She graduated from Shepherd High School the class of 1935. Ruth married Glenn "Dewayne" Foglesong on April 20, 1937. He preceded her in death in 2009. Ruth worked as the Assistant to the Dean of Students and Assistant to the Registrar at Central Michigan University for over 30 years. She was a member of the Rosebush Presbyterian Church and was very active in the Isabella County Senior Center news letter. Ruth loved to knit, read, sew, play domino's and penny bingo.

Ruth is survived by her children, Janet (Col. David) McGee of Palm Bay, FL, and Cathy (Graham) Tillotson of Topinabee, MI; 6 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren; and sister Ella (Gene) Johnston of Cheasaning, MI.

Ruth was preceded in death by her husband, Dewayne; sister, Vivian Stork; brother, Forrest Howland; and sister in law Marguerite Foglesong.
