Samuel Lafata, 61, of Lake Isabella passed away on Thursday, July 27, 2006 at Central Michigan Community Hospital.

Funeral services for Sam will be held on Monday, July 31, 2006 at 10 a.m. from Clark Funeral Chapel with Father Thomas McNamara officiating. The family will receive friends on Monday from 9 a.m. until time of service at the chapel.

Sam was born on December 14, 1944 in Detroit, Michigan the son of Frank and Josephine Lafata. He served in the United States Army and was stationed in Fort Knox, KY. Sam was a mentor at Alcoholics Anonymous in Lake Isabella.

Sam is survived by his children, Sam (Margaret) Lafata of Onsted, MI and Chris (Lisa) Lafata of Fishers, IN; six grandchildren and mother, Josephine Lafata.

Sam was preceded in death by his father, Frank.
