WINNIE, SANDRA “SANDY” MARIE. Age 52, of Mt. Pleasant, passed away Thursday, December 21, 2017, at McLaren Bay Region.

Funeral Services for Sandy will be held at Clark Family Funeral Chapel on Thursday, December 28, at 11 a.m. with Deacon Larry Fussman officiating. A luncheon will immediately follow the service in the Reflections Reception Center. Interment will take place in Pine River Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Clark Family Funeral Chapel on Wednesday, December 27, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. and on Thursday, December 28, from 10 a.m. until the time of Service. Memorial donations may be made to the family. Envelopes will be available at the funeral chapel and the church.

Sandy was born on December 9, 1965, in Mt. Pleasant, the daughter of Royal F. and Marie A. (Smith) Massey. She was a homemaker and stay-at-home mom. She also worked for three years as a CNA at Tendercare, a seamstress at EmBraced In Comfort, and a catering assistant at Alma College. Sandy was a past school librarian at Akron-Fairgrove Schools where she loved being a mentor to the students. She loved music, dancing, spending time with her family and friends, and loved caring for others. Her granddaughter Autumn was the light of her life. Sandy was a warm hearted, kind soul who always stuck to her promises.

Sandy is survived by her three children, Trevor Winnie (Raelyn Bliss) of Port Huron, Kyle (Tasha) Winnie of AFB Guam, and Alyssa (Samuel) Schramm of Saginaw; two grandchildren, Autumn Winnie and Isabella Bliss; her mother, Marie Massey; four brothers, David (Delight) Massey of Shepherd, Michael (Sally) Massey of Blanchard, Kevin Massey (Donna Krom) of DeLand, FL, and Randall Massey of Blanchard; two sisters, Vicki (Christopher) Barrett of Houston, TX and Gayle (Jon) Beadle of Mt. Pleasant; father of her children, Steven Winnie of Saginaw; many nieces and nephews; life-long special friend Marcy (Jim) Carney of Mt. Pleasant; sister-in-law, Lynn Massey of Beal City; aunt, Jeanette (Duane) Grnya of Daytona, FL; uncle, Wilbur (Mary) Massey of St. Johns; and sister-in-law Anne (J.D.) Dutcher of Mt. Pleasant.

Sandy was preceded in death by her father, Royal Massey; brother Ken Massey; niece, Kellie Wheeler; and two aunts, Arlene Wilcox and Maxine Kirvan.
