Obituary for Sidney Samuel "Sam" Curns
Sidney “Sam” Samuel Curns 40 of Harrison passed away peacefully at home on Monday, September 3, 2018. Sidney was born March 25, 1978 in Mount Pleasant, Michigan the son of Sidney Eugene Curns and Sandra Dee (Clark) Curns.
Sam was a lifetime resident of Harrison. He loved fishing, visiting with his family and friends. His greatest passion was spending time making memories with his children.
Surviving Sidney is his mother and step-father, Sandra Dee and David Heckert of Harrison, two daughters; Erykah Curns of Saginaw, Michigan and Alidiyah Curns of Harrison, one son, Luke Davis also of Harrison, his sister, Amanda Curns of Harrison, best friend and companion, Mindy, three nieces; Alyssa Hladik and fiancé Shane Sherwood, Shylee Hladik and Reise Danberry, one great-niece, Hayden Walker, plus many loving aunts and uncles. Mr. Curns was preceded in death by his daughter Hailey K. Sidney Curns on July 17, 2003, and his father, Sidney Eugene Curns on November 20, 2013.
Celebration of Life services honoring Sam will be held Saturday, September 8, 2018 at 6:00 p.m. from Stocking Funeral Home, Harrison with Pastor Chris Saint officiating. Family and friends are invited to gather on Saturday from 4:00 p.m. until time of service to share memories and stories. Memorial gifts in memory of Sam may be considered to the Curns family, in care of Sandra Dee Heckert.
