Obituary for Tamara Lou "Tammy" Leaureaux

Tamara Lou "Tammy"  Leaureaux
LEAUREAUX, TAMARA LOU, age 44, of Rosebush passed away Wednesday, February 28, 2018.

Funeral Services for Tamara will be held at Clark Family Funeral Chapel on Sunday, March 4, at 3 pm with Rev. Doyle Perry officiating. A Luncheon will immediately follow in the Reflections Reception Center. Burial will take place in the Denver Township Cemetery at a later date. The family will receive friends on Saturday, March 3, from 5 to 7 p.m. Visitation will continue the day of the service from 2 p.m. until the time of the service. Memorial contributions may be made to the family. Envelopes will be available at the funeral chapel.

Tamara was born on March 7, 1973, in Grand Rapids, the daughter of Donald, Sr. and Joanne (Smith) Leaureaux. She was a proud member of the Saginaw Chippewa Indian Tribe. Tamara loved spending time with her family and was always available to lend a helping hand when needed. She loved to plan family gatherings. She also enjoyed shopping and taking pictures, mainly selfies.

Tamara is survived by her children, Brandon Leaureaux of Rosebush, Jasmine (Rodney) Monroe of Grand Rapids, Casey Monroe of Mt. Pleasant, and Shannon Shananaquet of Wyoming, MI; grandchildren, Mishiikenh Sprague, Journey Monroe, Rodney, Joshawn, and Kaiden Kilgore, Janiyah, Aaliyah, and Julianna Monroe, Darius, Daniel, Hope, Faith, Azriel, and Xayvien Shananaquet; parents, Joanne (Roger Martell) Fox of Rosebush and Donald (Lisa) Leaureaux of Mt. Pleasant; siblings, Terri (Paul) Rueckert, Sr. of Mt. Pleasant, Donald Leaureaux, Jr., of Rosebush, Toni Leaureaux of Grand Rapids, and Danny Leaureaux of Weidman; and several nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.

Tamara was preceded in death by her grandparents, Melvin and Nancy Leaureaux and Elizabeth and Barttlet Gibbs; and several cousins, nieces, and nephews.
