Thomas Brigham Seller, 85, of Harrison passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 8, 2018 at Medilodge of Clare. Thomas was born October 19, 1932 in Detroit, Michigan, the son of Orrin Thomas Seller and Pauline (Heller) Seller. Upon graduating from Lincoln High School in Ferndale, Michigan, Tom enlisted in the United States Army and honorably served his country in Mannheim, Germany. After completing his military duty, Tom furthered his education, obtaining his Bachelors Degree in Liberal Arts and a Masters Degree in Education, graduating from Wayne State University, Detroit, Michigan. On October 19, 1957 in Detroit, Tom was united in marriage to Joan Beverly Miller.
Besides being a professional book editor, Tom was also an avid classic and silent film buff, loved playing piano, and collected photos of classic film stars. Tom kept up with world-wide events, friends and family via internet. He loved restoring and collecting antique radios thereby preserving a bit of history. His appreciation of movies, music, and history will be missed.
Mr. Seller is survived by his loving wife of sixty years, Mrs. Joan B. Seller of Harrison, one daughter, Gwendolyn Roth and her husband Greg of Canton, Michigan; three grandchildren, Andrew Roth, Alexander Roth and Audrey Roth; two sisters, Pauline Ann Curtis of Farmington Hills, Michigan and Caroline Dunlap and husband Lloyd of Hawaii, plus many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. Mr. Seller was preceded in death by his parents, Orrin T. and Pauline Seller.
Celebration of Life services and military honors for Mr. Seller will be announced at a later date. Memorial gifts in memory or Mr. Seller may be considered to the Seller family, in care of Joan B.
