Obituary for Todd Calvin Anton

Todd Calvin  Anton
ANTON, TODD CALVIN, age 55, of Mt. Pleasant, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 18, 2016 at Woodland Hospice surrounded by his friends and family after a courageous year long battle with cancer.

Cremation has taken place. A memorial service for Todd will be held at Clark Family Funeral Chapel on Friday, October 21, 2016 at 11 a.m. with Deacon Larry Fussman officiating. Visitation will take place on Friday from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. Memorial contributions may be made to Woodland Hospice or Pardee Cancer Treatment Fund of Gratiot County. Envelopes will be available at the funeral chapel.

Todd was born on July 3, 1961 in Mount Pleasant, the son of Joseph Adam and Lavonne Carol (Schoen) Anton.

Todd graduated from Mt. Pleasant High School with the class of 1979. He married Ann Bucholtz in Mt. Pleasant on March 23, 1996. Todd worked for Kroger for 35 years, retiring this past July. Todd was a member of Black Creek Sportsmans Club, and was an avid hunter and loved fishing. He enjoyed woodworking, watching football and NASCAR, and going to the shooting range. Todd had a love for the outdoors, and enjoyed trips to Ludington, bike rides, and taking walks. He also liked to grill for his family and spend time with them.

Todd is survived by his wife Ann Anton; 3 children Amanda Anton (Jeff Stanton), Brandon Anton (Beth Soles), and Zachary Anton all of Mt. Pleasant; a grandson Bailey Hilts; 3 brothers Michael Anton, Steve (Kelly) Anton, Ron Anton (Mary Welsh), sister Anita Onstott all of Mt. Pleasant; mother in law Doris Bucholtz of Mt. Pleasant; God parents Ron (Kathy) Ervin of East China, MI.

Todd was preceded in death by his parents, grandma and grandpa Anton, grandma and grandpa Shoen, father in law Robert Bucholtz, and brother in law Bob Onstott.
