Obituary for Victor Phillip Allen
Victor Phillip Allen 86, of rural Harrison passed away at his home on Tuesday, July 10, 2018. Victor was born August 17, 1931 in Walkerville, Canada, the son of Cecil Victor and Eva (Parsons) Allen. On August 29, 1997 in Flint, Michigan, Victor was united in marriage to Betty Lou Barry-Bean. After nineteen years of marriage, Mrs. Bean-Allen preceded Victor in death on December 28, 2016.
Mr. Allen had resided in rural Harrison since 2006, moving from Genesee County, Michigan. Victor diligently wanted to become a United States citizen and spent over five years to achieve his dream, and was granted his citizenship in 1997. Mr. Allen was an ordained minister and loved to preach the word of God. Victor loved to bird watch, fishing, hiking, camping, spending time with his family and unconditionally loved his beloved wife, Betty Lou.
Surviving Mr. Allen are his four daughters; Donna Jean Mitchell-Brewer and husband Johathan of Harrison, Victoria of Canada, Lisa also of Cananda and Doris and husband Matt of Alma, Michigan, one son, Tobias Phillip Allen of Canada, ten grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, plus a host of nieces and nephews. Mr. Allen also was preceded in death by his parents, one son, Ricky Bean and several brothers and sisters.
Funeral services honoring Mr. Allen will be held Saturday, July 14, 2018 at 12:00 p.m. from Stocking Funeral Home, Harrison with Rev. Connie Bongard officiating. Visitation will be held Saturday, July 14, 2018 from 10:00 a.m. until time of services. Burial will be in Summerfield Township Cemetery, Harrison. Memorial gifts in memory of Victor may be considered to the Allen family, in care of: Donna Mitchell-Brewer.
