Virginia Lee  Cornell
CORNELL, VIRGINIA LEE, 82, of Alma passed away on Saturday, November 5, 2016, at her home.

Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service for Virginia will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, November 10, at Clark Family Funeral Chapel with Benjamen Evers officiating. A luncheon will follow the Memorial Service in the Reflections Reception Center. The family will receive friends on Thursday, from 10 a.m. until the time of Service at the funeral chapel. Memorial contributions may be made to the family. Envelopes will be available at the funeral chapel.

Virginia was born January 14, 1934, in Mt. Pleasant, the daughter of Edward Henry and Yvonne (Sawyer) Breidenstein. She had worked as a cashier for over ten years for Vic’s Grocery Store, now known as Ric’s. Virginia was always happy and enjoyed the positives in life. She loved to travel with her daughter, spending time at the family cottage on School Section Lake, and staying close to family. Virginia enjoyed bird-watching. She was an avid Detroit Tigers fan.

Virginia is survived by her three children Twila (Jeff) Schrot of Shepherd, Richard Cornell of South Lyon and Jeff Cornell of Breckenridge; four grandchildren Elizabeth Nolff, Frank Schrot, Edward Schrot and Sara Wright; five great-grandchildren Trey Wright, Evalyn Nolff, Annika Smith, Delilah Nolff and Brooklyn Wright; one sister Vicky (Matt) Winger of Woodstock, GA; and her loving neighbors, Kim, Tim, Paul and Dora, and Connie.

Virginia was preceded in death by her daughter Tina Marie; her parents; and her twin sister Jeanne Torpey.
