Obituary for Wesley Emil Husa

Wesley Emil  Husa
HUSA, WESLEY EMIL, age 84, of Mt. Pleasant passed away Saturday, April 2, 2016, at Beaumont Hospital in Dearborn.

Funeral Services for Wesley will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, April 6, at Clark Family Funeral Chapel. Interment will follow in Riverside Cemetery. A Luncheon will take place in the Reflections Reception Center following the committal service. The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until the time of Service on Wednesday, April 6, at Clark Family Funeral Chapel. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society. Envelopes will be available at the funeral chapel.

Wesley was born February 12, 1932, the son of Emil and Hilma (Ylanentelo) Husa. He served our country in the United States Air Force. Wesley married Shirley Ann Jones on June 25, 1958, in Highland Park. He worked for 25 years with the Highland Park Police Department, retiring in 1979 as a Captain. He then worked as a claims adjuster for Citizens Insurance, retiring in 1996. Wesley was an avid golfer. He enjoyed reading, Sudoku puzzles and woodworking. He loved spending time with his family.

Wesley is survived by his daughters, Patricia (Charles) Jackson of St. Clair Shores and Denise (Daniel) Gregoire of Allen Park; 6 grandchildren, Carrie Gregoire, Danielle Gregoire, Jacob Duffy, Allyson Gregoire, Matthew Jackson and Anna Jackson; and brother Gordon Husa of White Lake Township.

Wesley was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Shirley Husa on February 4, 2014; daughter Pamela Lynn Husa on April 25, 2000; and sister Ruth Toeppe.
