William Willard D. Morrison, 89, of Mt. Pleasant passed away on Tuesday, June 20, 2006 at Isabella County Medical Care Facility.
Memorial services for William will be held on Saturday, June 24, 2006 at 3 p.m. from Clark Funeral Chapel with Rev. John Boley officiating. Interment will follow in the Riverside Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Saturday, June 24 from 1 p.m. until time of service. Memorial contributions may be made to the First United Methodist Church. Envelopes will be available at Clark Funeral Chapel.
William was born on February 8, 1917 in Isabella County, the son of William and Clara (Swindlehurst) Morrison. William married Bernice (Roethlisberger) Morrison on November 26, 1942. William was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Mt. Pleasant. William was a diary farmer for most of his life, retiring in 1987. He was a member of the Michigan Milk Producers Association. William enjoyed traveling and was a member of the Nomads Traveling Club. He spent several years traveling through out the United States as well as countries in Western Europe, plus several cruises. William enjoyed spare times at the Moose Lodge 195 playing cards with his friends and the special morning club coffee group.
William is survived by his wife, Bernice Morrison; one son-in-law, Lewis L. Foster of Broomfield, Colorado; grandchildren, Elizabeth Lisa (Pat) Schwinghammer of Denver and Michael John (Molly) Foster of Seattle, WA; great-grandchildren, Mia Schwinghammer and Dmitri Foster and sister, Rowena Diehl of Mt. Pleasant.
William was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Marietta; two brothers, Ivan Morrison and Archy Morrison.
