Obituary for Lois Jean McCann (Imhoff)

Lois Jean McCann (Imhoff)
Lois Jean McCann

Today, January 6, 2013, we sadly said good-bye to our Mom, Mother-in-law, Grams, Great Grams, sister, sister-in-law and friend, Lois Jean Imhoff McCann.

Mom was born October 22, 1933, the eighth daughter of Elmer and Inez (Parks) Imhoff. She was a true country girl who was raised on a farm and spent the last 50 years with our dad, Tom, continuing the McCann Centennial Farm. Mom and Dad were married in 1954 and were blessed with eight healthy children who were their pride and joy. Daddy preceded her in death in February 2001.

Although diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis almost 35 years ago, Mom was able to retire from Kroger after nearly 28 years of employment. She enjoyed bowling while she could and forged some long lasting relationships. She enjoyed gambling the slots and always came out a winner.

Mom is survived by her children: Pattie Baderschneider and her daughters Samantha, Shaina, and Jessie. Cathie and Denis Cluley, their family Andrea and Jeremy Laney, Michelle and Zack Anderson, Bobbie Kay and Collin Gross; Colleen and Kelly Beltinck, their family Angie and Josh Latham, Kate and Nate Johnson, Cody, and Stephanie; Doreen Fussman, her family Amanda and Ryan Oakley, Alicia and Alexandra; Debbie and Mike Brehm and their family Ryan, Natalie, and Hannah; Tommy and Angie, their children Austin and Tyler; John and Kelli, their children Bradley, Jonathan, Jordyn, and Thomas; Mark and Marcie, their children Mark Jr. and Madison, and her 11 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister-in-law Jo Jo McCann and brothers-in-law Pete and Bill McCann, her sisters Clarabelle Germain, Dorothy Harvey, and Nancy Bennett, son-in-law Doug Fussman, and numerous family and friends. WE LOVE YOU MORE!

She was preceded in death by her son-in-law Gregory Baderschneider, five sisters, and one sister-in-law.

Funeral Services for Lois will be held at Clark Family Funeral Chapel on Tuesday, January 8, 2013, at 5 p.m. Interment will follow in the Calvary Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Monday, January 7, 2013 from 5 to 8 p.m. at the chapel. Visitation will continue on Tuesday, January 8, 2013 from 4 p.m. until the time of service. The family would like to thank Woodland Hospice and the Isabella County Commission on Aging for their loving care of their mom. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to an organization of your choosing. Envelopes will be available at the funeral chapel.
