The majority of my memories of David are from the good ole days as children. He was several years older than his sisters Pat, Pam and myself. Most older brothers don’t usually tolerate younger siblings and their friends. That is what made Dave a unique young man. During the summers I spent most of my days at the Long home. Dave always greeted me with a smile and kind words. I still have memories of David assisting us with building the biggest and best ever snow fort located at the end of the Long driveway. Not only that, he kept the snowballs coming so that we were able to successfully defend our turf. Thank you Dave for contributing to my happy childhood!
At his mom’s big birthday bash a few years back, Dave and I spent a long time reminiscing and laughing lots about the good ole days. I thanked him for putting up with me when I was young – he just smiled.
Dave’s personality remained the same for his entire life - kind, patient, thoughtful, and generous to family and friends.
Bridgette and family, my prayers are with you all for God’s comfort during this sorrowful time.
