Condolence From: Mike Linsday
Condolence: I was saddened to hear of Jack's death. My last memory of Jack was after the Christmas Eve service at Mt. Pleasant Community Church. He smiled and made a positive comment about the evening service. Jack always looked on the bright side of things.
Jack was a valuable member of the senior golf league at Pleasant Hills. He was arguably the best golfer in the league with his outstanding ability to chip and put. His drives were always straight down the middle of the fairway, and his fellow golfers often chided him about never missing a fairway.
When we drew cards to see who would be partners at Pleasant Hills on Tuesday and Thursday each of us secretly hoped to draw Jack as a partner. He was the favored partner not only because of his golfing ability, but because of his cheerfulness and positive outlook on life. Having Jack as a partner always provided a pleasant morning at "The Hills".
Jack will be sorely missed by his fellow golfers at Pleasant Hills. I am certain that many of us will look skyward and ask for Jack's guidance on our opening tee shot in the years to come.
I send my sympathy to Jack's family and prayers for comfort and the peace that fond memories provide.
Sincerely,
Mike Linsday
