Lou Ann Maeder, 76, of Weidman passed away on Wednesday, June 20, 2012 at Tendercare in Mount Pleasant.

Funeral services for Lou Ann will be held at Clark Family Funeral Chapel on Saturday, June 23, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Samuel Reith officiating. A luncheon will follow in the Reflections Reception Center. Interment will follow the luncheon in Fairview Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday, June 22nd from 2-4 and 6-9 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to Tendercare of Mt. Pleasant Garden Project. Envelopes will be available at the funeral chapel.

Lou Ann was born on April 5, 1936 in Weidman, the daughter of Harry and Beatrice (Chaffee) Gatehouse. She married Bill Maeder, who preceded her in death in 2010. Lou Ann was a housewife and also a bookkeeper for Maeder Logging. Her interests were bead work and needlepoint, playing bingo, birdwatching and listening to music. Lou Ann really enjoyed her friends and many activities at Tendercare.

Lou Ann is survived by her son, Mark (Linda) Maeder of Weidman, two grandchildren, Hailey and Hollie Maeder of Weidman, and one brother, Dale (Jeanette) Gatehouse of Weidman.

Lou Ann was preceded in death by her husband, William; daughter, Lori Ann Maeder; brother, Gary; and her parents.
