Lowell is like a father to me... someone who is always there... with a word of gentle exhortation, occasionally a stern one, a surprise gift of vegetables, willing to fix a chair that's falling apart, employing my sons in the summer, instilling in them attention to detail and hard work. Your handiwork lives on in the church I pastor and in the lives of those who will yet come to know our Savior. See you soon.

I reflected as an adult how undoubtedly God put good men in my path to fill the gaps of a fatherless home. Mr. Hager was one of those men who were kind and inspiring. Thank you

While never blood related, you will forever remain Uncle Lowell to me! So many great memories with you and your family from Tiger games, to Cedar Point trips, to you holding me by the ankles dipping me in frigid water to retrieve screws dropped in pools we just installed. Forever loved and missed. Can't wait to hear "Hello Cuz" someday in heaven!

Although I didn't have Mr Hager as a teacher at Alma High School, our paths crossed many years later at Mt. Pleasant Community Church. I will remember Mr. Hager singing in the congregation with such conviction. May the special memories of your loved one comfort you always....
