Obituary for Peter Jennings Cotton

Peter Jennings Cotton, age 76, of Mt. Pleasant passed away Monday, October 19, 2015, at Woodland Hospice in Mt. Pleasant.

A Gathering for Pete will be held at the Coomer United Methodist Church on Friday, October 23, 2015, from 10 a.m. until 12 noon. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Isabella County Commission on Aging. Envelopes will be available at the church and Clark Family Funeral Chapel.

Pete was born on December 7, 1938 in Cleveland, OH, the son of James Hubbard and Arlene (Jennings) Cotton. Pete proudly served in the United States Army. He married Sue Sponseller in April of 1963. Pete loved being a family man and spending time with his grandchildren.

Pete is survived by his wife, Sue; children, Ann Marie (Todd) Ehrman, John Jennings (Mona) Cotton, and Timothy James Cotton; grandchildren, Cody, Keegan, Alayna, and Ashley; brother, James Hubbard (Joan) Cotton; mother-in-law, Winifred Sponseller; many siblings by marriage; and several nieces and nephews.

Pete was preceded in death by his parents.
