Obituary for Ronald Leonard Souva

SOUVA, RONALD LEONARD, age 49, of Mt. Pleasant passed away with his family and friends by his side on Thursday, August 18, 2016, at his home under the care of Mid Michigan Hospice.

A Funeral Mass for Ronald will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church on Tuesday, August 23, at 11 a.m. with Fr. Don Henkes officiating. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery. A Luncheon will be held at the Sacred Heart Parish Hall following the Committal Service. The family will receive friends at Clark Family Funeral Chapel on Monday, August 22, from 3 to 8 p.m. with a Vigil for Ronald at 7:30 p.m. Visitation will continue at the church the day of the service from 10 a.m. until the time of the service.

Ronald was born on May 2, 1967, in Pigeon, MI, the son of Leonard Souva and Rita Ruth. He married Jennifer Niffenegger in 2002. Ronald worked in food services for Central Michigan University for over 17 years. He was a parishioner at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Ronald enjoyed golf, fantasy football, and watching sports.

Ronald is survived by his wife, Jennifer; parents, Leonard (Bev) Souva and Rita Bacik; in-laws, Jean (Dave) Niffenegger; sister, Nancy (Steve) Bambach; step-sisters, Krista (Tom) Kuhl and Kim (Steve) Kretzchmer; sister-in-law, Hiliary (Nick) Lorencz; several nieces and nephews; many close friends; and faithful dog, Jaz.

Ronald was preceded in death by his grandparents.
